Terms of Service
This page is a translation of the Korean-language SONGLAB policy, provided to help non-Korean readers. It describes the existing service as operated in Korea and does not add separate terms or compliance claims for other countries.
First effective: 2026-07-16 · Revision notice: 2026-10-28. Teacher-plan conditions apply to new purchases of that product after this notice, without adverse retroactive changes to earlier transactions.
1. Purpose
These terms govern vocal teaching tools, materials, private student lesson journals and the teacher plan provided by SongLab (representative Choi Sang-il). Earlier analysis passes remain subject to their original purchase conditions and applicable law; this revision does not reduce existing rights.
2. Sign-up and accounts
Users must sign up with an accurate email address and keep their account secure. SONGLAB does not operate a legal-guardian consent process, so persons under 14 years of age cannot sign up.
3. Service description
SongLab provides vocal teaching tools and materials and lets teachers write and read their own student lesson journals. Available features and sales status appear on the relevant screen. The teacher plan is not medical diagnosis or treatment, actual instruction, or an academy booking service. Historical analysis results are coaching references and do not replace professional voice examinations.
4. Teacher plan and service term
The one-month teacher pass (teacher-month-v1) costs KRW 29,900 including VAT and covers one teacher account with up to 20 active students. Its calendar-month term starts when access is actually activated on the account, not when checkout or payment authentication begins. It ends at the same date and time in the following month in Korea Standard Time (KST), or that month’s last day at the same time if that date does not exist (28–31 days). There is no automatic renewal or additional charge, overlapping purchase, or advance extension of an active pass. After expiry, existing journals remain read-only; new writing and editing are restricted. Test payments do not grant actual access. Existing analysis-pass rights, including credit restoration after system failure, remain unchanged.
5. Private journals and existing academy services
A student entry in the teacher plan is a nickname for the teacher’s private records. It does not create or invite a student account, enroll anyone in an academy, or automatically send records to students. Teachers must enter only necessary information and process student information lawfully. Existing academy memberships, coach relationships and permissions remain separate. Earlier arrangements for authorized coach/owner access to analysis, comments and priority use of shared academy credits continue within their original terms. Membership can be ended through the academy owner or support at any time; personal analysis history remains in the student’s own account.
6. Data and optional consent
This revision does not authorize use of journals or recordings for AI training or marketing. Use of voice and acoustic features to improve AI requires the separate notices and optional-consent procedure described in the Privacy Policy. Earlier recordings are not used retroactively. Existing users retain the right to object, withdraw consent and request deletion. The promise not to use pseudonymized data for marketing or sell it to third parties remains in effect.
7. Payment, withdrawal and refunds
When sales open, new teacher-plan payments are processed through Toss Payments; checkout shows whether actual payment is available. Within 7 days after access activation, the full price is refundable regardless of use. After that, refund = floor(KRW 29,900 × whole remaining 24-hour days at the refund request ÷ actual term days, 28–31). Fractions of a won are discarded; no penalty or PG fee is deducted. Cancellation before activation or failure to provide purchased access qualifies for a full refund. Request it from order history or at hello@songlab.kr / +82-10-9936-3075 with the order number. Statutory withdrawal refunds are processed within 3 business days from the legally specified starting date, with cancellation requested promptly from the payment provider. Card processing time does not displace statutory refund obligations. Confirmed refunds end the pass; existing records remain read-only. For services that differ from their advertisement or contract, statutory withdrawal rights within 3 months of supply and 30 days of learning or being able to learn of the issue take precedence. Other statutory remedies and exceptions are preserved. Earlier PayApp, Lemon Squeezy and analysis-pass transactions are handled separately under their applicable favorable purchase terms and law. A minor needs the consent of their legal representative to purchase. If the representative has not consented to the contract, either the minor or their legal representative may cancel it.
8. User obligations
You must not upload another person's voice without authorization, transmit illegal content or malicious files, bypass system limits, or use results for the purpose of disparaging or discriminating against others. The director and coaches of an academy account must not use student records for purposes other than instruction or disclose them externally.
9. Service changes and suspension
Features may change or pause for security, outages, maintenance or improvements. Material impacts are announced in advance where possible. Rights to refunds and other legal remedies for missing or nonconforming paid services remain protected.
10. Scope of liability
SongLab operates with reasonable care. Reference information may vary with recording conditions, equipment and vocal state. These terms do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or restrict user rights or damages claims that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Withdrawal and end of use
Expiry or refund does not automatically delete journals; they remain read-only while the account is maintained. Account deletion may be requested in account management. Pending approvals, refunds or an active paid pass must first be safely settled, with support available if self-service is not possible. Ordinary account and journal data are deleted on withdrawal; legally required transaction records are retained separately. Privacy rights, including access and deletion, may be exercised separately.
12. Changes to the terms and governing law
Important changes are announced before taking effect and separate consent is obtained where required. This revision does not adversely alter favorable terms applying to previous purchases. Earlier documents remain available through the previous-document link. Korean law applies, and disputes are subject to the courts having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
