Terms of Service

This page is a translation of the Korean-language SONGLAB policy, provided to help non-Korean readers. It describes the existing service as operated in Korea and does not add separate terms or compliance claims for other countries.

This is a preserved previous document. See the current document for current sales conditions. More favorable conditions applicable to past purchases and statutory rights remain protected. View current document

Effective date: 2026-07-16 · Revised: 2026-09-19 (separation of domestic and overseas payment processing and addition of the Lemon Squeezy payment clause)

1. Purpose

These terms set the conditions of use for the vocal voice analysis, analysis credits, and related features provided by SONGLAB.

2. Sign-up and accounts

Users must sign up with an accurate email address and keep their account secure. SONGLAB does not operate a legal-guardian consent process, so persons under 14 years of age cannot sign up.

3. Service description

The service automatically analyzes the voice audio a user provides and offers metrics for contact, resonance, pressure, volume, and pitch, together with practice reference information. Results are coaching reference material and do not replace medical diagnosis, treatment, or a professional voice examination.

4. Analysis credits

New accounts receive 1 free analysis. The number of uses and the price of paid analysis credits are displayed before payment, and 1 credit is deducted when an analysis job is created. If an analysis fails because of a system error, the credit is refunded automatically.

5. Academy (institution) service

When the director of an academy account registers a user as a student or a coach, the user becomes affiliated with that academy. While affiliated as a student, the student's analysis results and trends can be viewed by the assigned coach and the director, and comments left by a coach are shown on the student's own report. A student's analyses are deducted first from the academy's shared analysis credits; if the academy has no credits, the student's personal credits are used. Ending the affiliation can be requested at any time through the director or customer support, and the student's analysis records remain in their own account even after the affiliation ends.

6. Use of data for quality improvement and research

SONGLAB may pseudonymize the voice audio, analysis results, and coach comments provided by users so that individuals cannot be identified, and may use them to improve the quality of its analysis algorithms and for compiling statistics and scientific research. Pseudonymized material is not used for marketing and is not sold to third parties. If you do not want this use, you can request refusal through the contact listed in the Privacy Policy, and when you withdraw membership, the original data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Payment, withdrawal of offer, and refunds

Payments inside Korea are processed through PayApp, and overseas card payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record). Payment conditions and refund availability are displayed on the purchase screen. For unused digital analysis credits, you may request withdrawal of the purchase offer or a refund to the extent permitted by applicable law. Analyses already provided, partial refunds, payment-method fees, and similar items may be calculated according to applicable law and the payment providers' policies. Payment and refunds for academy credits are handled on the basis of the academy account (director) that made the payment.

8. User obligations

You must not upload another person's voice without authorization, transmit illegal content or malicious files, bypass system limits, or use results for the purpose of disparaging or discriminating against others. The director and coaches of an academy account must not use student records for purposes other than instruction or disclose them externally.

9. Service changes and suspension

Some features may be changed or temporarily suspended for security, failures, equipment maintenance, or service improvement. If there is a material impact on users, advance notice is given by available means.

10. Scope of liability

SONGLAB operates the service with reasonable care, but analysis results may vary depending on the recording environment, the device, and the condition of the voice. Except where such exclusion is not permitted by law, SONGLAB does not cover indirect or special damages.

11. Withdrawal and end of use

Users can withdraw membership in account management. If a payment or refund is in progress, it may be handled after settlement, and transaction records subject to statutory retention are stored separately from account data.

12. Changes to the terms and governing law

Material changes are announced before they take effect. These terms follow the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are resolved by the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
